My name is Kristen, owner of Kandid LLC. I’m 27 with an old soul and a deep passion for photography. Somebody very special to me encouraged me to start taking photos when I was just 13 years old because I have an eye for angles, and can find beauty in what others may only find ordinary. He helped me enter my very first photo contest that same year and I won! We lost him to addiction in December of 2020. I spent a few months thinking about how I’d never be the same knowing he’s never coming back, but in May of 2021 I realized that was true, I will never be the same. I will be better, I will live inspired, I will work hard to turn my pain to power, and I will make him proud.

I serve Mankato and surrounding areas with family sessions, senior sessions, weddings, and all those special milestones as your babies grow. I say “sessions” rather than portraits because I have a unique approach to capturing photos you’ll love for a lifetime. I choose to shoot candid photos especially during family sessions and for clients who tell me “I’m not photogenic.” Surprise baby, YES YOU ARE. I take my time and capture the natural smiles and genuine interactions between couples and families.

Kandid LLC is mine to grow from the ground up. As a business owner there are no rules on how to do it so I’m just going to keep it real here. I’m laid back, I have enough love for everybody, and I know what I look for in a photographer and guarantee to deliver nothing less than my very best. I’m naturally very empathetic, and I always want my clients to have an unforgettable experience.
